Cartonplast packaging – a strong, lightweight and reusable bespoke solution

Cardboard-plastic, also known as honeycomb polypropylene, is a modern plastic material with a wide range of applications in the packaging, electrical engineering, automotive and food industries. Its structure resembles that of paperboard, but unlike paperboard, it offers greater strength, a longer service life and resistance to water, chemicals and mechanical damage.

Thanks to its composition – two flat polypropylene sheets reinforced by a longitudinal hollow core layer – cartonplast is not only strong and rigid, but also flexible and lightweight. It can be customised to meet customer requirements, for example through printing, lamination with non-woven fabric or combination with other materials such as foam layers or carpet liners.
