This tensioner is used for strapping very heavy objects such as ingots, bundles of lumber, etc. It is specifically designed for strapping round or irregularly shaped objects. It is used only in combination with suitable strapping pliers (e.g., type UK-2). Steel strapping 19–32 mm wide with type F buckles is used for strapping. By cutting the buckle twice, a joint strength of up to 15,000 N can be achieved.
