This tensioner is used for strapping heavy objects such as metal profiles, bundles of lumber, etc. It is specifically designed for strapping round or irregularly shaped objects. It is used only in combination with suitable strapping pliers (e.g., type UK-1). Steel strapping 10–19 mm wide with FP-type buckles is used for strapping. When the buckle is cut twice, a joint strength of up to 5,000 N can be achieved.
